PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Leading the design of this $2.2 million renovation of the Historic Spring Park Pool in Green Cove Springs, Castle Bay Design Studio played a primary role in all aspects of park and infrastructure analysis, historic preservation, planning, design development, and construction oversight. Throughout the design process, deep research into the history of the pool, dating back to the Henry Flagler expansion era to in-depth research of the geology and spring functions of the Floridian aquifer were cornerstones of the design, ensuring this renovation effort highlighted, and in many ways reintroduced, the historical importance of the area as well as the inherently sustainable design of preserving the spring head itself.
