The City of Daytona Beach Shores Parks & Recreation Master Plan establishes a comprehensive, community-driven vision for the future of parks and public spaces in Daytona Beach Shores. Castle Bay led a citywide planning effort designed to assess existing facilities, identify evolving community needs, and create a strategic framework to guide future development, enhancement, and long-term management of the parks system. Through facility inventories, commissioner interviews, demographic and trend analysis, and review of local and national recreation standards, the project provides a data-informed foundation for sustainable decision-making.
A cornerstone of the process was robust public engagement, including open-house workshops, a dedicated project website, and a statistically valid citywide needs assessment survey distributed to all households. The resulting Master Plan synthesizes research, stakeholder input, and implementation strategies into a clear roadmap that prioritizes projects, reinforces Level of Service standards, and positions the City to enhance quality of life while responsibly stewarding public resources.
