PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The David  E. Disney Pickleball & Tennis Center was designed to provide the City of DeLand with a tournament-style Pickleball Complex with 18 new courts and a covered center stadium court designed for open, league, and tournament play.

Custom shade structures throughout will provide seating, water stations, and gear storage with an allée of shade trees providing much-needed relief from the sun during daytime play. Night-time play will be possible with custom court lighting featuring dimming and zone lighting to prevent disturbing the adjacent neighborhoods. Additionally, the existing building will be expanded and upgraded to provide additional restrooms, covered seating, and multi-purpose rooms.

Originally conceptualized and master planned by Castle Bay in late 2024 to gauge resident interest, the project was so well received that the City of DeLand fast-tracked the design and intends to break ground in 2025 with a total cost of approximately $4.5 million.
