PROJECT OVERVIEW:

An 11-month effort comprising of nearly 1,000 hours of consultant team effort, the Castle Bay team delivered the City of Daytona Beach’s first-ever Parks & Recreation Master Plan, serving as a foundational tool informing the next two decades of city-wide parks and recreation improvement and development projects.

Beginning in late 2023 with the award of the project through a competitive RFQ solicitation in which the Castle Bay proposal outperformed all other submitting firms including multiple national firms, the project ultimately included a custom website, multiple public outreach meetings, City commissioner and staff meetings, stakeholder engagements, a full park-by-park inventory of all existing City park spaces, a deep investigation into current and future City demographics, preparation and distribution of a statically valid needs assessment survey, and the drafting of a comprehensive implementation plan.
