PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The Derbyshire Park project in Daytona Beach represents the transformation of one of the City’s most significant community parks into a vibrant regional destination for recreation, wellness, and community gathering. Following Castle Bay’s original conceptual master plan completed in 2022, the firm was selected to prepare the new Comprehensive Master Plan and construction-ready design documents for the park, building upon recommendations established through the City & Parks Recreation Master Plan completed by Castle Bay in 2025. The approximately $15 million redevelopment is envisioned to expand recreational opportunities, improve accessibility, modernize park infrastructure, and create an enhanced experience for residents and visitors for generations to come.

Working alongside a multidisciplinary consultant team, Castle Bay is leading the landscape architecture and master planning effort while coordinating extensive public engagement, stakeholder collaboration, and agency review throughout the design process. The project includes the preparation of comprehensive construction documents for new park facilities, infrastructure, landscapes, and public spaces, establishing a clear roadmap from community vision to implementation. Upon completion, Derbyshire Park is expected to significantly increase park utilization and serve as a signature recreational destination for the City of Daytona Beach.
