PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The FGCU at Midtown project in Midtown Babcock Ranch supports the early-stage development of a new academic and mixed-use destination for Florida Gulf Coast University. Working in close collaboration with the project architect and design team, Castle Bay provided conceptual design support and visualization services to help shape the site’s public realm and overall spatial character. The effort focused on developing inviting outdoor environments, including courtyards, pedestrian corridors, outdoor seating and dining areas, and streetscape spaces that promote connectivity and daily campus activity.

Castle Bay prepared illustrative site plan renderings and three-dimensional visualizations that communicate the design vision and enhance coordination among project stakeholders. In addition to supporting architect-led site planning, Castle Bay contributed conceptual hardscape and landscape design strategies and prepared schematic design narratives describing the proposed exterior environments. The project establishes a cohesive framework for future development while creating engaging outdoor spaces that support both academic and community life.
