PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Villa Calissa, an exclusive 11-unit townhome community tucked into a canopy of established live oaks on the banks of the San Sebastian River in St. Augustine. A challenging site, the property presented several hurdles to overcome to be able to arrive at what you see today. A challenging topography, an existing canopy of live oaks, and a need to subtly integrate stormwater management into the design in a way that worked in concert with the existing vegetation and the strategic placement of the townhomes themselves.

Castle Bay worked closely with the project civil engineer to design a centrally located stormwater basin that features soft edges, broken sections of modular wall to balance increased stormwater volume/efficiency and aesthetics, and a design that preserved and highlighted the picturesque setting of live oaks overlooking the San Sebastian River.

This is a prime example of how something special can come together when you pair the right team of professionals with a common goal.
